CNN, training ground for Al-Jazeera

Can there still be any doubt about the political leanings of the mainstream media?

Lucia Newman, a CNN correspondent already able to get the okay from Castro to operate in Havana, is now jumping ship to Al-Jazeera.

The AP story quotes Chris Cramer, managing director of CNN International, who said in an e-mail to his staff that Newman had decided to move on to fresh challenges after two decades of "magnificent service."

"She has served the cause of liberalism well here at CNN," the Cramer email read, "but she felt she could make an even bigger impact, an explosive impact even, by taking the fresh challenge of working for an even more blatent terrorist enabler."

Actually Cramer didn't say that, but it sounded "fake, but accurate" right?

Dave Marash, formerly of ABC News' "Nightline," also joined Al-Jazeera and will serve as their Washington anchor and reporter.

Speaking of "fake, but accurate," I know of another high profile anchor who is looking for employment and would fit right in with Al-Jazeera. Can someone fax something to Kinko's?

Nothing exceptional about that since they have the same biased formats.
